Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (an individual or the organization you represent, collectively "you" or "Customer") and IwasuBrief ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of:
- IwasuBrief — the core sermon intelligence platform at iwasubrief.ai
- IwasuAssist — the AI-powered congregation chat assistant (web widget and WhatsApp)
- IwasuStudio / Media Studio — the sermon processing and content generation module
By creating an account, accessing, or using any of these services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

1. Definitions
- "Services" — IwasuBrief, IwasuAssist, IwasuStudio, and any related features, APIs, or tools we provide.
- "Organization" / "Customer" — a church, ministry, or other entity that has registered for an IwasuBrief account.
- "Administrator" — an individual authorized by the Organization to manage its IwasuBrief account.
- "End User" — a congregation member or other individual who interacts with IwasuAssist (web widget or WhatsApp) deployed by an Organization.
- "Content" — sermon audio, video, transcripts, summaries, devotionals, clips, and any other materials you upload to or generate through the Services.
- "AI Outputs" — transcripts, summaries, sermon points, devotionals, scripture references, clips, and other content produced by our AI processing pipeline from your uploaded Content.
2. Account Registration and Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to bind your Organization to these Terms.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at policy@iwasubrief.org if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion.
3. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your Organization's internal religious, educational, and ministry purposes.
3.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services only to:
- Upload and process authentic sermon recordings, transcripts, or related ministry content belonging to or licensed by your Organization.
- Generate AI-assisted summaries, devotionals, and study materials for your congregation's benefit.
- Distribute IwasuAssist to your congregation members for sermon engagement and spiritual growth.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not own or have the right to process (including copyrighted sermons of other ministries without permission).
- Use IwasuAssist or the WhatsApp integration to send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content unrelated to congregation ministry.
- Use the Services to harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against any individual or group.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any part of our Services.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services or AI Outputs as a standalone commercial product without our written consent.
- Use the Services in any manner that violates applicable law, including laws governing data privacy, electronic communications, or intellectual property.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
- Use automated bots or scrapers to access the Services outside of our documented API.
- Misrepresent the AI Outputs as verbatim statements of any individual without disclosure that they were AI-generated or AI-assisted.
4. IwasuAssist — WhatsApp and Chat Widget
4.1 WhatsApp Business API Compliance
IwasuAssist's WhatsApp functionality is built on the Meta WhatsApp Business API. By enabling IwasuAssist for WhatsApp, you agree to comply with:
- WhatsApp Business Policy
- Meta Platform Terms
- All applicable messaging laws in your jurisdiction (including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and similar regulations).
4.2 Consent and Opt-Out
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that congregation members have consented to receive WhatsApp messages from your Organization before initiating contact through IwasuAssist.
- You must honor opt-out requests promptly. Any End User who replies "STOP" or requests to be removed must not receive further messages.
- You may not use IwasuAssist to send marketing, fundraising appeals, or commercial solicitations unless you have obtained explicit consent for those message types.
4.3 Organization Responsibility for End Users
You are responsible for the deployment and use of IwasuAssist within your organization. We are not responsible for the content of conversations between your congregation members and IwasuAssist, or for any misuse by End Users facilitated by your deployment.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all Content you upload to the Services. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, transmit, and display your Content solely as necessary to provide the Services to you.
5.2 AI Outputs
AI Outputs generated from your Content are owned by you, subject to these Terms. We do not claim ownership of your AI Outputs. You are responsible for reviewing AI Outputs before distribution and for ensuring they accurately represent the original sermon content.
5.3 Our Intellectual Property
The IwasuBrief platform, including all software, AI models, interfaces, branding, and documentation, remains the exclusive property of IwasuBrief. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
5.4 Feedback
If you provide suggestions, feedback, or ideas about the Services, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
5.5 No AI Training on Your Content
We do not use your uploaded Content or AI Outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models for use outside your Organization's account without your explicit written consent.
6. Subscription, Fees, and Payment
- Access to the Services may require a paid subscription. Applicable fees and billing terms will be presented at sign-up or as updated in your account dashboard.
- All fees are due in advance. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise.
- We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- You are responsible for any applicable taxes arising from your use of the Services.
7. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal data and your congregation members' data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
As the Organization deploying IwasuAssist to End Users, you act as a data controller for your congregation members' data. You are responsible for maintaining lawful bases for processing their data and for providing them with appropriate privacy notices.
8. Service Availability and Modifications
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Services. Scheduled maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control may result in downtime.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
- For material changes that significantly affect your use, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable.
- AI model outputs may vary over time as we update or improve underlying models. We do not guarantee the consistency or accuracy of AI Outputs.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that AI Outputs will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular religious, legal, or educational purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before distribution to your congregation.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IWASUBRIEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IwasuBrief and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of or access to the Services in violation of these Terms;
- Content you upload that infringes any third-party intellectual property or privacy right;
- Your deployment of IwasuAssist to End Users, including any failure to obtain proper consent for WhatsApp messaging;
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
12. Term and Termination
- These Terms remain in effect for the duration of your use of the Services.
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at policy@iwasubrief.org.
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that we determine in our sole discretion to be harmful to the Services or other users.
- Upon termination, your license to use the Services ends immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall first be submitted to informal negotiation by contacting us at policy@iwasubrief.org. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in English in the State of Delaware.
You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against IwasuBrief.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and IwasuBrief regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, natural disasters, or third-party service failures.
- Notices: Legal notices to us must be sent to policy@iwasubrief.org. We may provide notices to you via email or by posting to your account dashboard.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify Organization Administrators by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
